Alpine Aperture is operated by Will & Lissa Funk.  Based in Southern California in the college town of Claremont they have been creating images professionally since 1999.  Initially operating as their own stock agency they expanded into commercial assignment photography after several clients requested their services.

Lissa has been involved in the fitness industry as a personal trainer and with aquatic exercise.  She holds several certifications in this field and continues her involvement in this industry.  She is an avid outdoor enthusiast, recently summiting the highest point in the Continental United States, 14,467 foot Mt. Whitney, via the steep Mountaineers Route.  She has also traveled to 49 states with only Alaska remaining on her list.  A native of Tennessee, Lissa relocated to California in 1993 after an extended stay in the Sunshine State of Florida.

Will is equally comfortable looking through his own view finders as he is teaching others how to improve their images.  His subjects have included motor sports, crime scenes and wild places of the United States.  A native Californian, he has roamed throughout the West seeking to find new landscapes as well as new friends.  Will likes the fresh perspective traveling gives to his images, even after he returns home to the studio.  He shares the common interest of outdoor adventure with Lissa.

Will & Lissa use Nikon professional cameras, lenses and flash units.  They also use a variety of lighting equipment and light modifiers.  Medium format equipment is also used for certain projects.
